Most unusual staff meeting yet...

1. Today's buzzwords: "Converging Technologies" and "Stop-gap measures"
2. An unexplained absence which led to an unhappy guest presenter and supervisor.
3. A recommendation of someone who could help with a project, followed by the announcement that said person had died over the weekend.
4. An announcement that someone my department had recently been having problems with from another company was now going to be working for one of the vice presidents at my company.
5. And a surprise update that one of our new co-workers was no longer a co-worker.

It's been an informative day.
